Kimberlee Singler faces charges of first-degree murder in the shooting and stabbings of her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, and one count of attempted murder in the slashing of her 11-year-old daughter with a knife. She also faces three counts of child abuse and one count of assault for a total of seven felony counts. 

On Dec. 19, 2023, a person called 911 to report a burglary in Colorado Springs. When Colorado Springs police arrived, they found a woman, later identified as 35-year-old Kimberlee Singler, and an 11-year-old girl - both injured. They also found a 9-year-old girl (Ellie Wentz) and 7-year-old boy (Adan Wentz), who were both deceased, according to police.

Singler later fled to the United Kingdom, leaving her surviving daughter behind. She is currently awaiting extradition from London.
