Colorado v. Stauch | Pre-trial Case Discussion Pt. 2

Letecia Stauch is an inmate at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado - final destination unknown.

She murdered her 11-year old stepson on January 27, 2020.

Letecia Stauch claims to suffer from an adverse mental condition known as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and has therefore pleaded Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) after securing private defense attorneys at state expense through the Office of Alternate Defense Counsel rather than the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender.

Harley Hunt's pre-trial Vacation

Harley was kind enough to link the suitcase that she's packing to leave the country. I mean, who's NOT going to buy a suitcase from Amazon that was recommended by Letecia Stauch's daughter?

Let's not forget that she was riding shotgun in the moving van with her mother all the way to Florida, where Gannon's lifeless body was found inside a suitcase that had been discarded under a bridge.

Crazy Is As Crazy Does

Much has been written about Letecia Stauch's reluctance to show up at important court appearances. Many of us have also heard about Letecia’s federal lawsuit against the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center (CJC), and we all know by now that she claims to have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and has therefore pleaded Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI). However, not much has been written about an out-of-state doctor who has been retained by Stauch's defense team in order to perform a second sanity evaluation. Crime Curious has learned that Letecia's new psychiatrist is none other than Dr. Dorothy Otnow Lewis.

Crime Curious on KRDO's 13 Investigates

"It was one of Teller County's highest profile murder trials and a killing that shocked the town of Woodland Park. But now, with a possible appeal looming for Patrick Frazee, a private investigator familiar with the case has some strong opinions on how the trial was carried out."

"On a true crime podcast this week, the private investigator hired by the family of Patrick Frazee to review the case spoke publicly for the first time, and said there is another side of the story that remains untold..."

Interview #1 with Dan Corsentino, Private Investigator for Patrick Frazee

The views and opinions expressed in this program are those of the guest and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of the Crime Curious Podcast, Wire Tap Weekly, or Bathtub Books.

Patrick Frazee was convicted of murder in November of 2019. He was sentenced to life plus 156 years in prison for killing Kelsey Berreth who was last seen on November 22, 2018. She was the mother of his child.
