Five people were killed. Seventeen more suffered gunshot wounds that were not fatal. In all, there were fifty-one people in the club that night. Anderson Lee Aldrich (born Nicholas Franklin Brink) wanted to kill them all.
Anderson Lee Aldrich (23) was convicted on five counts of murder in the first degree and forty-six counts of attempted murder for the November 19, 2022 mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs. He chose to plead guilty rather than face a jury. Aldrich also pleaded no contest on two counts of bias-motivated crime (one felony and one misdemeanor).
Judge Michael McHenry sentenced Anderson Aldrich to 2,208 years in a Colorado prison on June 26, 2023. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has opened their own investigation and are considering whether or not they will file federal charges against Aldrich which could ultimately result in capital punishment. Colorado abolished the death penalty in 2020.
